THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL

Elvis Presley remains one of the world's most influential artists and known pop culture icons, nearly 30 years after his death. In the Rock and Roll era, his musical style – a fusion of blues, country, pop, bluegrass and gospel – paved the way for generations of musicians and singers to be pursued. Elvis did not just introduce a new genre of music to the entertainment industry, but he also serves as a representative of all the growing dissatisfaction youths had with the mores and conventions of the restrictive 1950s. Today, the King’s legacy still remains and performed by Elvis impersonators.
